克里斯汀Wellnitz began teaching Psychology courses at Southeast Technical College in 2011.

She holds a Baccalaureate Degree at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, where she majored in Psychology, minored in Leadership Communication, and received a Concentration 用西班牙语. She received her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling and Psychology in Education from the University of South Dakota, obtaining specializations in School Counseling and Community Agency Counseling and holds the credential of a National Certified Counselor.

She began working in industry in 2003 and has various experiences in the field of Psychology, from work in the mental health sector to the primary, secondary and higher educational systems. At Southeast Tech, 克里斯汀’s primary responsibilities entail preparation and delivery of content for General Psychology courses and its variations, such as Psychology in the Workplace. The curriculum includes integrating reflection and critical thinking around interpersonal topics; these include, but are not limited to, personality, psychological disorders, memory, learning styles, brain development, stress and social interactions.

As an instructor, 克里斯汀 strives not only to provide engaging instruction and facilitation of discussion around the topics of psychology, but also also to offer guidance and display how psychology will carry out into every-day life, as well as in the workplace. Providing academic support to her students assists with retention and facilitation of successful academic progress, which addresses the underlying mission of Southeast Technical College. 

In her free time, 克里斯汀 enjoys spending time with her husband, Cory, and their four children, as well as extended family and friends.
